The first LEGO KPop Demon Hunters set is now official. Netflix fans can now preorder a brick-built Derpy Tiger before the wider toy line arrives.

LEGO detailed the new Derpy Tiger and Sussie Bird set this week. The official product page lists it for preorder at $69.99 in the US. The 825-piece kit centers on Derpy Tiger and the six-eyed magpie Sussie Bird. Shipping is expected to start August 1, 2026.

What comes in the LEGO KPop Demon Hunters set

The set is officially numbered 72537. It is aimed at builders ages 9 and up. LEGO says the finished model is about 8.5 inches high, 6 inches long and 6 inches wide when Sussie sits on Derpy’s head. That makes it a display-and-play character build, not a tiny desk trinket.

Derpy gets two expressions. One is a goofy grin. The other uses a tongue piece that can hold one of the included love notes. The set also includes a flowerpot and a hidden compartment in Derpy’s head for smaller pieces. Sussie Bird has a rotating neck and posable feet. Derpy’s head, legs and paws can also move for different poses.

Why LEGO moved fast on Derpy

The design story is the most interesting part. LEGO says Derpy and Sussie became standout characters because they act as mischievous couriers in the movie. So the designers focused on expression and movement instead of making a static model. Wes Talbott, a senior design master at LEGO, said the team worked through prototypes to capture the face, angled eyes and rounded tail.

That explains why the final build uses shaped LEGO elements and printed details. The eyes were a key design problem. Small changes altered how recognizable the character felt. It is a neat reminder that licensed sets can live or die on tiny visual cues.

More sets are likely coming

LEGO and Netflix announced their KPop Demon Hunters collaboration earlier this year. LEGO’s newsroom language also points to more products in 2027. For now, Derpy Tiger and Sussie Bird is the first concrete set fans can order.

For Tech My Money readers, the bigger story is simple. Entertainment franchises are becoming collectible tech-adjacent products at speed. LEGO is also pushing deeper into interactive and licensed play. That includes the LEGO Pokemon Smart Play sets, which pair bricks with connected hardware. This KPop Demon Hunters release is simpler. Still, it is chasing the same shelf space: fandom, display value and a reason to buy before the next wave lands.
